- Plug-in heating cable, designed for the protection of water installations in barns and as protection against freezing of gutters and pipes, roofs, driveways, sidewalks, pipelines, drainage channels, heat pumps, and stairs;
- Integrated thermostat that turns on when the temperature drops below +3 °C and turns off at a temperature of about +12 °C;
- Thermostat ensures energy savings;
- Connecting cable length: 2 m;
- Protection class: I;
- Underwater waterproof class IPX7;
- Mechanical strength class M2;
- High heating power of 20 watts per meter means that the heating cable protects gutters, downpipes, and pipes from frost even at very low temperatures;
- The heating cable is ready to connect;
- Integrated thermostat ensures energy savings;
- Safety plug provides a high level of safety;
Note:
- It should be noted that each heating cable connection must be protected by a separate residual current circuit breaker. (e.g. art. no. 10-0876, plug-in PRCD switch);
- The heating cable should be protected from sharp edges, e.g. at the point where the gutter meets the downpipe, by using edge protection (art. no. 10-0875);
- The heating cable must not overlap, cross, or come into contact with itself or other heating cables at any point;
- To permanently prevent contact, we recommend using appropriate spacers if necessary (art. no. 10-0874);
- For safety reasons, pipes and metal gutters, protective pipes, and covers must be grounded before installation;
What to remember about 230 V heating cables:
- The heating cable should always be attached to the bottom of the pipe;
- The water pipe must be grounded;
- 230 V heating cables are ready to connect and should be connected to the power supply with a circuit breaker (30 mA residual current circuit breaker);
- Heating cables must not be shortened and therefore should be ordered in the appropriate length;
- Excess length can be wrapped around the pipe (note that there should be a gap of at least 15 mm between coils);
- The heating cable must not be bent, attention should be paid to the maximum bending radius of approx. 50 mm;
- Heating cables can be attached to the pipe with insulating or aluminum tape (10-2417);
- When using plastic pipes, aluminum tape (10-2417) should be wrapped around the pipe before laying the heating cable;
- The pipeline and heating cable should be insulated with a maximum insulation of 13 mm;
- The thermostat on the heating cable should be mounted in the coldest place on the pipe;
- The thermostat can only be moderately insulated;
- 230 V heating cables should not be used in areas where there is a risk of being bitten by animals;
- The installation must be carried out in accordance with VDE0100.
