Application

This product is used where a water installation may be exposed to low temperatures and freezing risk. It is suitable for pipe sections requiring greater range than shorter variants in this range. It can be used in farm buildings, on waterlines, and in other locations where frost threatens installation flow. It is designed for water supply protection and not for heating pipes or mechanically burdened areas.

Operating principle

The cable is connected to a 230 V power supply, and the built-in thermostat controls its function depending on the ambient temperature. When the temperature drops to about +3 °C, heating is activated, and after rising to about +13 °C it switches off. As a result, the cable heats the pipe only when needed. In practice, this helps maintain water flow during frost periods and reduces the risk of installation freezing. The cable should not be shortened.

In practice

The 14 m length offers more flexibility in protecting several sections or a longer part of the installation. Automatic thermostat operation simplifies use, as the system responds on its own to temperature drops and increases. This is particularly important where the installation must operate throughout winter without constant user supervision. The IPX7 protection class and 230 V power supply make it a practical solution for ongoing pipe freeze protection. An additional 2 m connection cable makes it easier to connect to the power source.
