Application

This product is used wherever a water system may be exposed to low temperatures and risk of freezing. The solution is intended for the protection of water lines, not for heating pipes or areas exposed to mechanical load.

Principle of operation

The cable is connected to a 230 V power supply, and the built-in thermostat controls operation depending on the ambient temperature. When the temperature drops to around +3 °C, the heating is switched on, and after rising to around +13 °C it is switched off. This way, the cable heats the pipe only when needed. In practice, it helps to maintain water flow during frost and limits the risk of the installation freezing. The cable must not be shortened.

The 24 m length offers more flexibility in protecting several runs or longer sections of installation. Automatic thermostat operation simplifies use, as the system reacts autonomously to temperature changes. This is important especially where the installation must work through the entire winter without constant user supervision. The IPX7 protection rating and 230 V supply make it a practical element for permanent frost protection of installations. An additional 2 m connection cable makes it easier to connect to the power source.
