Application

This product is used where a water installation may be exposed to temperature drops and the risk of freezing. Principle of Operation

The cable is connected to a 230 V power supply, and the built-in thermostat operates depending on the ambient temperature. When the temperature drops to about +3 °C, the heating turns on, and when it rises to about +13 °C, it turns off. As a result, the cable heats the pipe only when needed. In practice, it helps maintain water flow during frosts and limits the risk of the installation freezing. The cable must not be shortened.

The 8 m length provides greater flexibility in protecting several sections or a longer part of an installation. Automatic thermostat operation simplifies use, as the system responds on its own to drops and rises in temperature. This is especially important where the installation must work throughout the winter without constant supervision. The IPX7 protection level and 230 V supply make it a practical element for permanent frost protection. An additional 2 m power cord makes connection to the power source easier.
