The castrator is used for bloodless crushing of the vas deferens. First, locate the spermatic cord, then firmly clamp the emasculator on the vas deferens for 20 seconds to make it die.
Bloodless castration can also be used on adult animals. However, it is most effective when applied to young individuals.
The bloodless castration method does not leave large open wounds and can be used in season.
In goats and sheep, castration should be performed from the fourth week to the fourth month of life, but the ideal period is from the eighth to the twelfth week.
