Wile 78 Grain Moisture Meter
The Wile 78 is a compact grain moisture and temperature meter featuring a crushing measuring chamber, making it easy to take anywhere in the carrying case included in the set.
Highly Accurate Measurement Results
The meter provides a fast and highly accurate moisture analysis for 21 types of cereals and oilseeds in just 20 seconds. Its crushing and measuring mechanism operates in a closed system, preventing moisture loss and eliminating the influence of external factors.
This feature is particularly useful when the grain hull thickness varies depending on the crop species and growing conditions, or when very wet grain has been dried rapidly, leaving residual moisture inside the kernel even though the outer surface appears dry.
All measurement data is displayed on a new backlit LCD screen, ensuring excellent readability both in bright sunlight and at night.

Tip
The highest measurement accuracy is achieved when both the meter and the grain are at a temperature between 16°C and 32°C. The temperatures of the meter and the grain should be as close as possible. It is also recommended to store the sample in a container that is as airtight as possible.

The moisture measurement range is 4% to 44%, depending on the grain type and geographical region. The standard range for cereals is 9% to 37%, while for oilseeds it is 5% to 28%. Measurement repeatability is ±0.5% moisture within the normal storage moisture range for grain at room temperature.
